Treat yourself to the afternoon tea with a literary flavour!
Afternoon tea at the Hotel Indigo is an absolute delight for foodies and culture vultures alike.
At the tea table, along with an imposing antique samovar you will find a wonderful selection of traditional Russian sweets and preserves, favoured by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The author of Brothers Karamazov and Crime and Punishment had a sweet tooth. He loved to have his tea with the Russian pastila and frequented St. Petersburg’s tea shops and confectioneries.
You will taste the famous Kyakhta tea, Dostoyevsky’s favourite apple pastila, delicious home-made jams and preserves, mouth-watering pastries from the Wolf and Beranger Confectionery shop, and fancy Balle cakes, all made using historic 19th century recipes.
We serve afternoon tea daily from 17.00 to 20.00 at the Afisha Bar.
You are welcome to buy the beautifully packaged treats and take them home.
